- From the home page or "Start" Menu, click the "Pages - Manage your web site pages" option.
- Under "Add Page," enter the following:
- Title - This is what will display in the browser title.
- Type - For a regular page, select WYSIWYG. This will create a page you can edit as you would with Word.
- Parent - "None" will create a page in the root. You can also create a page that will be listed as the child of another page. This is useful for organizing your site by categories.
- Visibility - Pages can be public or private.
- Click "Add" and a screen will display with a form field to enter the content of your new page. When finished, click "Save" to create the new page.
- Next click "Change Settings" to fine tune to details of the page.
- Page Title - This is the information that will display in the title of the web browser and is helpful for SEO purposes
- Body ID - This tag is used as a page identifier for custom displays on some sites. If this applies to your site, it will be noted in your individual site instructions.
- Visibility - This was configured when the page was created and can be changed from the site settings.
- Description - One of the page meta tags. Enter a brief description of the contents of the page.
- Keywords - Another page meta tag. Enter keywords and phrases, separated by commas, that apply to the topic of the page.
- Target - Top frame and same window will open the page in the same browser window. Select "new window" to open the page in a new browser window.
- Template - If you have more than one page template for your site, you can select which template to use.
- Language - Only applicable to multi-language sites, this option can select which language the page applies to.
- Searching - Select whether or not you want the content of the page to be accessible through the site search feature.
- Click Save
