Carla Sallee Alvarez | Legacy Marketing Services | Houston, TX

I’m Carla Alvarez — marketing strategist, writer, and digital identity advocate with more than twenty years of experience helping small businesses and content creators build something that lasts.

My work sits at the intersection of strategy, communication, and community. I’ve managed marketing for businesses across retail, medical, legal, and nonprofit sectors. I’ve built community events from the ground up — including Picnic on the Park, which grew from 12 vendors and 500 attendees to more than 4,000 people and 100 sponsors, and helped launch the Holocaust March of Remembrance in Houston in 2012, which expanded to seven marches across the city by 2013.

I hold a Master’s in Cultural Apologetics from Houston Baptist University, which sounds academic until you realize what it actually means in practice: I understand how people form beliefs, how communities develop trust, and how ideas spread. That’s not a small thing when your job is to help a business communicate with the people it serves.

In 2019, the Macerich Company — a Fortune 500 mall corporation — filed a UDRP complaint to seize a domain I had owned and operated for years. I fought it. I won. A few years later I discovered active DNS poisoning on my own sites. Those experiences turned what was already a deep interest in domain security into a dedicated service practice. I know this space from the inside, not from a textbook.
