Amen, very well put. Small businesses have the advantage of not being hampered by a lot of beuaracracy. There are a small number of people that make decisions and need to buy in to the changes being made. With technology and media changing as fast as it is, quickness is one of the biggest advantages out there.

I really had never thought of the flexibility of small business being an advantage in times of economic downturn. You are absolutely right in the fact that small business owners can't waste time with strategies that don't work, or their business might go under. One or two critical mistakes can make or break a small business.

I also appreciate the fact that most small businesses don't outsource. Outsourcing really seems to be hurting our economy. Whether it's that they can't afford to outsource or just don't have any use for it, I'm happy about it.

Makes me want to go out there and start my own business. I've tried a couple of times, but had trouble finding start-up capital, especially searching for help from the government. They make it very difficult for anyone without a law degree to navigate through all the forms and proposals. I think they do that on purpose...
